1950s Conversion to Luxury Family Villa

This project started as a 1950s three-bed detached house, where we applied for planning permission for a five-bed luxury villa-style property. The challenges around this project were that the property was located in both a listed and conservation area. Planning permission was granted and the conversion was undertaken. A summary of the main works are:

  • A double-story extension, incorporating two additional bedrooms, a home office and a large landing, hallway and front door porch and entrance

  • An orangery/garden room was added to the rear of the property

  • Reconstituted stone detailing around all the windows, including a new bay window on the front elevation made from reconstituted stone

  • New slate roof and rendering of whole property

  • New crittall windows added throughout
